Aim

To conserve the original facade surfaces and features. Restore to the original design and profiles. Conserve original corbels and embellishments.

Tasks

Develop a durable, enduring traditional finish for the exterior render surfaces. Copy and cast missing or deteriorated ornaments. Reproduce a pediment, vase and cast finial. Damp remediation. Reinstate interior cornices. Restore interior wall surfaces.


Toonarbin (1862, West End Brisbane)

Scope

Conserve and restore interior ceilings and walls.

Aim

To retain the original lath and plaster.

Tasks

Remove past interventions. Stabilise the original plaster ceilings. Reinstate lath and plaster ceilings. Reinstate the drawing room ceiling and cornice. Copy and cast ceiling roses.                       


Glengarriff (1888, Brisbane)

Scope

Conserve garden ornaments. Decorate pediments.

Aim

Reproduce design elements from the house for garden pediments.

Tasks

Conserve three 18th century Gryphons. Reconstruct damaged and missing elements on Gryphons. Cast and reproduce embellishments for pediment features. Install bench moulds on pediments. Apply a durable uniform finish to the pediments.
